I love this spot. Not a typical south of the border restaurant. Don't expect chips and salsa but rather authentic South American cuisine. Highly recommend Jibarito with Carne Mechada.
We had the best experience in these restaurant, the food has a extraordinary flavor and taste, I ordered bandeja paisa, the chicharron is very crunchy, and the pinto beans with green plantain is very tasty, my husband ordered the Cuban sandwich, and my kids had cheese empanadas, we definitely have to come back again.
Nice place to eat & I like the Latin music/feel. You can earn rewards with their app. My first time eating here. I tried the Arepa with Chicharron and Avocado. 10/10, I would recommend. Good flavor. Try the Cilantro sauce, it is really good.
Coming from Miami, this felt like a little corner of home in Winston! With a little bit of everything, you can't really go wrong and it all tasted wonderful! Couldn't help myself to two of the batidos; maracuya and guanabana.
My new love This little restaurant is a hidden gem. Located in a strip plaza on Jonestown Road across from Goodwill. We had the Cuban sandwich which was made with the authentic flat bread, ham, swiss cheese,mustard and pickles. Sounds basic but the flavor was superb! We also had the Columbian chicken and Columbian steak empanadas. The filling was a perfect mix of meat and potatoes wrapped in a corn hand pie. So authentic. So delicious! Come and try this you will not be disappointed! We met Eric who I believe is part owner of this family business. The staff is respectful and friendly. The restaurant and restrooms are perfectly clean.
I recently stopped at the truck for lunch on trip through North Carolina. Patricia, owners mother, greated me. A big smile and so nice. I asked what she recommended and I chose the Arepa. Just a wonderful treat so much flavor. I ended up going every day for lunch and tried something new each day. Very good! But, you can't beat Patricia's smile, hard work and dedication to helping her son and daughter in law.
I can't recommend this place enough. The girl that waited on us was super friendly, and very patient with us. The food was awesome. The place was well kept. Patty (who is part owner of the place) came over to talk with us and made us feel at home.
Visited this restaurant for the second time today. If I lived closer I would probably visit once a week. The food is delicious and very flavorful. Today I tried the flank steak arepa I think it was called pambellon on the menu and I also tried the Colombian chicken empanada. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re craving authentic tropical food. The staff were friendly and told us beforehand what they didn’t have in stock. The prices are in range with most places so I wouldn’t say it’s expensive. Give the place a try, you won’t regret it.
